Emma - R.D.A.E.F./Assistant Patient Coordinator
Emma has been with Dr. Chew since 2000. She has four children and lives here in the bay area with her husband and family. She likes to keep busy by spending time with her children. She is involved with her children's PTA. A few of Emma's favorite things are cooking ,camping and traveling.
Emma's dedication to the office shines through in her work. She is very devoted to patient care and always makes sure that the patient is comfortable at all times.
Bao - Assistant
Bao has worked with Dr.Chew since 2002. She loves working for Dr. Chew because the office environment is very friendly. She enjoys helping patient's create beautiful smiles. Her interests are music, cooking, shopping, and her favorite food is any Asian cuisine. Bao also likes to visit friends and family in Europe.
Desiree - Patient Coordinator
Desiree's experience in patient care is one of her best qualities, and has been with Dr. Chew since 2010. She goes above and beyond for each and every patient. She really strives to educate patients, build relationships with them, and above she always does it with a smile. Desiree welcomes every patient into the office as if they were stepping into her home. She has extensive knowledge with insurance benefits, and dental.
She enjoys volunteering for Hawaiian Festivals, traveling, watching the latest movies, golfing, and spending time with her family.
Yen - Hygenist, RDH
Yen has been with Dr. Chew since 2006. She received her bachelor in Dental Hygiene at the University of New Mexico in 2005. She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico but relocated to San Jose three years ago.
She has a love for the outdoors, from camping, white water rafting, to hiking. During the winter, she loves going to Lake Tahoe to snowboard. During the summer , she loves to bike the beautiful trails of the Bay Area. Last year, Yen ran the Rock n Roll half marathon in San Jose, and that was a big accomplishment for her. She wishes to continue training for half marathons, and hopefully one day, a full marathon....and perhaps even a triathlon in the future!! Yen loves to try different things, and of course different types of food. Her most recent interest is salsa dancing.
Winnie - Hygenist, RDH
Winnie has spent most of her career in the dental field for the past 10 years, the first five years as a dental assistant. Her favorite part of the job was the time that she got to spend with patients. As a Dental Assistant, she quickly realized the importance of oral health for the community. From there, she was inspired and went back to school to become a Dental Hygienist.
When Winnie is not busy providing for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She likes to read for leisure from authors, such as: Mary Higgins Clark and Richard Laymon. When she isn't reading, she enjoys watching many movies. Her favorite movies include: 500 Days of Summer, The Golden Compass, Sherlock Holmes, Penelope, Juno, Changeling, The Notebook, Gran Torino, Memoirs of a Geisha, and more.
